Paglalaboy sa Malaysia (Batu Cave)

Next stop namin sa Malaysia ang Batu Cave, medyo malayo siya sa city pero madali lang din namang puntahan. Sumakay kame ng LRT from KLCC to Gombak (last station) then taxi diretso na yun sa Batu Cave.

Sabi ng malaysian friend ko hindi daw niya masasuggest na puntahan namin ang Batu Cave kase celebration yun ng Thaipusam which means sobrang dame daw na pupunta dun na worshippers for the festivity. Baka daw mahirapan kame...but we're in for the adventure:P




So punta pa ren kame...nung dumating kame dun umuulan ng bonggang-bongga at wala kameng dalang payong...kamusta naman...kaya nakikisukob kame sa mga pwedeng silungan sabay asaran ng...sooo near yet sooo far...ahahaha:P

Pero sige sugod na rin...we don't have much luxury of time...hehehe

Sobrang ganda ng view at nakakamanghang tingnan ang gold statue ng Hindu God nila background ang Batu Cave...


"Standing at 42.7 meter (140.09 ft) high, the world's tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity, is located outside Batu Caves, near the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The statue, which cost approximately Rupees 24 million, is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from neighboring Thailand."


Tamang-tama lang ang dating namin kahit na umuulan dahil wala pang masyadong deboto na umaakyat sa cave...

272 steps ang stairs papuntang cave, nagtry akong magbilang pero nawala rin ako sa bilang kase medyo scary ang stairs na yun dahil super kitid plus medyo madulas kase nga matubig dahil umuulan tapos panay pa ang papicture ng mga kasama ko...hehehe

At narating naman namin ang kuweba...saka nung pababa na kame saka naman nagdatingan na ang mga deboto...


Devotees carry containers containing milk as offering to Lord Muruga either by hand or in huge decorated carriers on their shoulders called 'kavadi'.






The kavadi may be simple wooden arched semi-circular supports holding a carrier foisted with brass or clay pots of milk or huge, heavy ones which may rise up to two metres, built of bowed metal frames which hold long skewers, the sharpened end of which pierce the skin of the bearers torso. The kavadi is decorated with flowers and peacock feathers imported from India. Some kavadi may weigh as much as a hundred kilograms.
